Daniel heeft ons laten weten, dat de KVTC school bij de beste ambacht scholen in Tanzania hoort. Ze zijn een voorbeeld voor andere scholen. Zie hier zijn brief:
Dear friends,
I greet you Great efforts are being made to ensure that young people who come from difficult circumstances get technical education in our beloved technical college located in Kilimanjaro Tanzania. It is our pleasure that you are part of those efforts with your donations to support these children.
For two years now there has been a change in the technical education system in Tanzania, the certainty of our college being allowed to continue providing training was in trouble because the law had conditions that we did not think we would be able to meet. Learning facilities, excellent laboratories, modern library and garages that meet the standards of what made us doubt whether we have enough criteria.
Some initiative and efforts were made to come close to set standards, after being checked twice, we were finally given permission to continue training. Great happiness for our young people, there was concern that where would they go to get training since their financial capacity is limited, their brotherhood and sisterhood where no one discriminate the other basing on their difference .The uniqueness of KVTC where they are getting more than just technical training like life skill education horticulture, animal keeping etc. And most of all what would be the fate of their beloved college.
The good news is that our college is one of the few colleges that have been given a two-year registration provision, this is due to our college being found to have the best and correct systems. In more than 200 colleges in our region, we got a chance among 25 colleges to be given training in Strategic Leadership of Vocational Education and Training under Competence Based Education and Training (CBET) system. These trainings were aimed at building us more capacity so that we can achieve full registration and finally accreditation of our college but also be used as a training center for other colleges to achieve the qualifications to get full registration.
I am requesting you, our brothers, sisters and friends, to continue to support us in order to get the necessary training equipment’s, a better laboratory, a modern library and a better garage so that we can continue to provide better training to these children and be sure that our college gets full registration.
Your donations and aid, especially the fees paid by the sponsors for these children, are needed so that together we can help these children who come from a poor environment to get a better technical education. Helping us find friendly colleges and finding other stakeholders who are interested in helping children can be of great benefit to our students, college and other communities.
Until next time with love
Daniel Mboya, Principal/Project coordinator.
